UPDATES:
SURVEY STAKES: Today at the Yellowstone Project Construction meeting, MSA reported an additional 120 hours’ worth of labor has been required due to re-staking survey resulting from property owners removing original survey stakes. Property owners are reminded not to remove any survey/other stakes; stakes need to be kept in place until the end of the construction period. The additional survey work is nearly double what was originally budgeted.
Grass Mats: Do not pull up the grass mats that were put down as part of the restoration on your property; these mats are biodegradable and need to stay in place to assure grass seeding becomes permanent; pulling up the mats may result in poor grass establishment; also, it is recommended not to mow the new seeding, again to assure grass seeding is well established.
MAILBOXES: As the construction project is nearing completion now is the time for property owners to consider whether they want to replace their old mailbox & post. If this is something property owners decide to do, you should purchase a new mailbox and post soon, assemble the unit, and have it ready for the contractor to install. Yes, the project contractor will install your mailbox as one of the final tasks of the project. Property owners are advised NOT to consider installing mailbox units themselves. All mailboxes will be consistently installed per US Postal Service regulations.
Construction Activities: Beginning this week, concrete curb work is scheduled for those areas designed for such. Topsoil restoration will continue. Rough grading of base aggregate will take place.
The week of October 4-8 fine grading of the base aggregate will occur with street paving scheduled. An update on construction activities for this time will be sent late next week.
All construction activities are weather dependent; as of this update, the construction company estimates being ahead of schedule by one week.
Please continue to use alternative access routes as much as possible. Lanae and Third Streets are open to Yellowstone Drive. Follow detour signs.
