Fire Department and First Responders
Are you a motivated energetic individual looking for a challenge while serving your community?  The Hewitt Area Fire Department is seeking individuals such as yourself to provide fire suppression, emergency medical care, fire prevention, and life safety rescue support to the residences of the Village of Hewitt and Town of Marshfield along with providing support to the surrounding townships and the City of Marshfield.  We meet twice a month, our business meetings are on the second Monday of each month, and fire training is the fourth Monday of each month.  If you are interested in serving your community by joining the department please contact us at 715-384-9449 or by email hewittfd@gmail.com

They also consider issues referred by the municipal boards or suggested by residents that involve trails and research funding opportunities.  Meetings are held on the third Monday of the month.  If you are interested in joining this committee or assuming the role of chairman, please contact Kevin Nowack at 715-387-8906.

Recreation Department
This committee plans and manages the summer evening softball and volleyball games.  Last year 518 children participated from 22 municipalities. The program celebrated its 25th year anniversary in 2010.  The success of this popular program is attributed to a core group of dedicated volunteers with assistance from local sponsors, parents, bystanders and other volunteers to coach and referee the games and help in the concession stand.  Meetings are on the third Tuesday of the month.  If you are interested in joining this committee, please contact Jenni Heeg at 715-305-3196.
